Dr. Eric Sudholt D.M.D., is a native of the St. Louis metro area where his father was a dentist in the USAF and mother was a Pulmonologist. He grew up in Belleville, Illinois, where he attended St. Teresa Grade School and Althoff Catholic High School.

Dr. Sudholt did his undergraduate studies at The University of Missouri earning a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2006, graduating Magna Cum Laude. During his time at the University of Missouri, he was a member of the Phi Beta Kappa Honors Society and National Society of Collegiate Scholars. 

He earned his D.M.D. degree from Southern Illinois University School of Dental Medicine in 2010, graduating Magna Cum Laude and second in his class. Dr. Sudholt has spent time on the executive board of the Peoria District Dental Society as well as its Treasurer. Currently, Dr. Sudholt, is serving as the president of the Peoria District Dental Society. He is also a member of the Illinois State Dental Society and the American Dental Association. 

Dr. Sudholt met his wife Dr. Nicole Sudholt in his dental school class at SIU-SDM. After graduation, they moved to the Peoria area where they have both been practicing dentistry. Dr. Sudholt enjoys spending time with his wife Nicole, son Nolan, daughter Nora, and their dog Penny.
